Each of my paintings represent a metaphorical passageway between the internal and the external, with hopes of stimulating examination by the viewer beyond primary engagement. My objective is to provoke the viewer into making a conscious shift to another dimension. There is an effort on my part to convey deeper truth of that beyond the physical, beyond what appears to be a simple landscape or portrait.

The process of making each piece begins with a journey of personal exploration. If I am able to convey those findings in a tangible way, then perhaps a connection will be made on the level of “soul” between the viewer and myself via the humble use of art supplies. This is my hope, anyway.
